First Look: Candy - Solar Powered Catamaran

Sunreef has unveiled Candy, a reimagining of the popular Sunreef 70 from a Polish shipyard. The most interesting thing is that the owner of the yacht took part in its creation. This unusual catamaran has every chance to set new trends and become a reference point for other companies.

What is Candy?

The catamaran was created from composite materials and has a durable hull. Of course, the most important feature is the manufacturer's patented solar cell system. The manufacturer has fully integrated this system into the bimini.

This innovative installation helps power the yacht with clean energy. In addition, the vessel is equipped with two 225 hp engines. and a grotto with an area of 1,722 sq. feet. Candy uses additional wind energy to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

Candy design solutions

An eco-friendly cruise isn't all that Candy is capable of. The salon also hides a lot of interesting things.



The salon has two large sofas and a long dining table. For example, there is also direct access to the wine cooler. From the salon, doors lead you to a lovely plush bow lounger.



The outdoor bridges are also equipped for dinners and lunches. In addition to the main helmsman, there is a barbecue bar as well as a dining table that can be aligned with the U-shaped sofa to expand the seating area.

Everything for people

By the way, in the aft cockpit there is a seating area across the entire width of the yacht. There is another dining table, refrigerator, sofa and some sun loungers.



What's more, Candy can take on board up to eight people in four cabins. The master cabin, located in the center of the left hull, has a king-size bed, TV, desk, dressing room and bathroom. Three additional guest cabins are also equipped with bathrooms and a lot of extra items.

The launch of Candy comes shortly after the shipyard announced the Anima catamaran, which is also based on the Sunreef 70 and is currently available for charter for $ 65,000 a week.
