Boot Düsseldorf may take place - but in what form?

More recently, we were delighted with the announcements and the plan of exhibitions for 2022. The list of shows and exhibitions was really impressive. The first exhibition in Dusseldorf in 2022 should have pleased us, but almost immediately after its announcement, some problems began. And COVID-19 alone, alas, was not enough.

Boot Düsseldor - dates

Messe Düsseldorf, which organizes the event, consulted with analysts and representatives of the yachting industry about the feasibility of the exhibition. As we wrote in this news, the dates have remained the same. Those. the exhibition is planned for January 22-30, 2022. 



The organizers' consultations have led to the fact that next year only vaccinated or COVID-infected guests will be able to visit the exhibition. In addition, the wearing of FFP2 masks and respirators in all rooms will be mandatory.

What about the participants in the show?

As usual, Boot Düsseldorf will have a large number of exhibiting companies. Among them are manufacturers of marine equipment, manufacturers of yachts, superyachts, marine equipment, as well as all kinds of performances at the stands. In 2022, things will probably not be so rosy.



Recently voiced insider information that some of the participating companies refused to perform at the show and to place their stands. Thus, among the companies that will not take part, they lit up:

• Beneteau group
• Garcia
• Dufour
• Fountaine Pajot
• Allures
• Jeanneau Yachts
• Lagoon

As we can see, the list is rather big, considering how many exhibits these companies usually show at exhibitions. In the superyacht sector, things are also not very happy - Sanlorenzo will not be there either. Usually this company occupied almost half of the pavilion in the superyacht division.

What will happen at Boot Düsseldorf 2022?

According to Messe Düsseldorf itself, the organizers of the exhibition do not understand why such large market players refuse to participate. To somehow smooth things out, local (German) representatives of the yacht market were invited to Boot Düsseldorf.



So, among the participants were regulars of the Princess and Sunseeker shows (superyachts), Bavaria Yachtbau (sports boats), Hallberg Rassy (sailing boats).

Moreover, many questions arise as to why everything turned out this way. Why did major market players refuse to take part in the show? What was the reason? The answer is clearly much more complicated and the only objective reason for COVID-19 and its consequences cannot be.
