The Flax 27 boat attracted the public almost immediately after its first show. However, just recently announced changes that will affect this model in the future.
History of Flax 27Flax 27 was one of the most visible boats at Boot Düsseldorf back in 2019. Some consider the boat a small work of art. And not unreasonably!
In addition to the stylish appearance, the boat distinguished itself in two ways. The first is the materials that were used in the creation. The second is driving performance. The Greenboats manufacturing company managed to create a fairly strong and fast boat.
Features of the "green" boatThe essence of Flax 27 has remained unchanged - it is a classic day-seller. Small, comfortable, fast… All these epithets are about this boat. But the main trump card, of course, was the materials from which the boat was made.
Linen, non-pigmented resin, sandwich panels made of cardboard with a core, gunny and much more were used for the body. All these materials are recyclable and environmentally friendly. We can say that the 27th is a classic representative of the "green" yachts.
Despite the external, let's say, elegance, the boat is quite strong and reliable. However, a day-seller does not require a super-heavy and ultra-strong case.
What has changed?The first thing that catches your eye is a more spacious open cockpit and a reinforced hull. These are the biggest external differences. The most interesting is hidden behind the scenes.
The company has updated its production policy. Now the boat of this model will have a shorter production cycle. Instead of 3,000 hours per boat, the shipyard will spend only 1,000. This will help launch the yacht in a truly massive way.
To some extent, Greenboats considers the Flax 27 as an analogue of the Tesla Roadster, but, as they say, “from the people and for the people.” The 27 is much closer to classic yachts both in design and concept.
