Mavea Yachts has unveiled the design of the new 24m Slyder 80 catamaran. An innovative and luxurious catamaran, it will uniquely combine unrivaled performance, elegant and aesthetic appearance, advanced technology within one exciting concept.



The Slyder 80 is being created by German designer Matthias Krenz in collaboration with experienced luxury hybrid catamaran builder Mavea Yachts. This versatile advanced carbon fiber design features large solar panels and electric motors. This makes the Slyder 80 the most modern technological catamaran.

Design Features

The creators position the Slyder 80 as "a catamaran that is worth seeing with your own eyes and feeling the difference." However, like all Slyder catamarans. The performance and design of the catamaran are perfectly combined with a focus on lifestyle and luxury. The overall aesthetic is defined by the lines of the hull, which represents a new standard in the Slyder catamaran design catalogue.



Markus Kuhner states: “At the heart of the development was the desire to create a fast, “fun”, luxurious, spacious and future-oriented catamaran. The Slyder 80 is no exception, and it also has a "sporty flybridge" (SLY-FLY). This flybridge was specially designed for the Slyder 80. It is large enough and safe.”

Guests and power Slyder 80

The Slyder 80 can accommodate up to eight guests. Thanks to the high side and good draft, the company managed to allocate as much space as possible for living quarters.



Guests can also enjoy an impressive 38 square meter salon that offers a host of amenities. At the moment, the full specification of the kata has not been fully disclosed. We are waiting for details about the interior decoration!

Slyder 80 is equipped with two 70-100 kW electric motors. The maximum speed of the catamaran can reach 24 knots. The expected completion date for the Slyder 80 is 2024.

Solar panels are installed on the roof, which are the feature of this kata. Powered solely by engines powered directly by solar, hydro and wind power, the Slyder 80 will travel at a speed of 10 knots. The same solar panels will serve as a power source for the electronics on the ship, and the energy will be stored in special batteries.
